Whey Permeate Powder is derived from the ultrafiltration of whey during whey protein concentrate (WPC) production. It contains the lactose and mineral fraction of sweet whey and is subsequently dried into a fine, free-flowing powder. With more than 80% carbohydrate content, mostly lactose, and a small amount of protein and ash, permeate powder is widely used as a bulking agent, milk solids replacer, and sweetener in processed foods. Its dairy flavour, clean colour, and cost efficiency make it ideal for use in bakery mixes, powdered beverages, dairy drinks, and nutritional blends.
